Speaking
As an author and historian, I occasionally make personal guest appearances in person, on the radio, and on podcasts. I speak about the metal detecting hobby, what it’s like to find historical relics, and how doing so can teach you a lot about the history of your local area.
Teaching
I also teach classes in metal detecting for beginners, and offer copies of my book for sale. Occasionally, I will represent American Digger Magazine as a staff member at various historic and detecting-related shows.
Services
I have also participated in private recovery hunts for landowners of historic properties, in which I am compensated for detecting and recovering historic artifacts, which remain with the landowners. Sometimes I am also requested to find lost articles dropped in various places.
